WHITMIRE — The Lady Wolverines hosted High Point in a region game. The Lady Wolverines came away with a 16-6 win in five innings.
The win moved the Wolverines to 2-2 in the region. Kimberly Kendrick was the winning pitcher. Defensively the Wolverines made five errors, which allowed High Point to keep the game close until the later innings. At the plate, the Wolverines were led by Kaylynn Roche and Taylor Peay. Roche was one for one with three runs scored, two BB, two RBIs, one stolen base and home run. Peay was one for three with two runs scored, one RBI and one stolen base.
