WHITMIRE — The Lady Wolverines hosted the Lewisville Lions in the first home game of the season. The Wolverines lost the game by a score of 10-1. Lewisville jumped out early to a 10-0 lead through three innings. Defensively the team made a couple mistakes that led to a 10-0 lead for Lewisville. However, the girls continued to battle until the end of the game. At the plate the Wolverines were led by Caylee Ellison and Raegan Kendrick. Both girls went one for the three on the game.

The Lady Wolverines traveled to Dixie on Tuesday night for the first region game of the year. The final score of the game was 8-0 in favor of Dixie. The Wolverines had a tough two inning stretch where they committed five errors. This allowed Dixie to jump out to the 8-0 lead, as they scored all of their runs in these two innings. On the offense the Wolverines could never really get the bats going as they were held to one hit. Leading hitter for the game was Taylor Peay who went one for two with a single. The loss drops the Wolverines to 0-1 in region play.

The Lady Wolverines also traveled to Calhoun Falls on Thursday night for the second region game of the year. The Wolverines were able to come away with a 13-3 win to move the region record to 1-1 for the year. Kimberly Kendrick was the winning pitcher for the game and did not allow, and earned a run throughout the game. She went the distance and gave up only four hits on the night. At the plate the Wolverines were led by Raegan Kendrick and Caylee Ellison. Kendrick was four for four at the plate with two doubles, three runs scored, one stolen bases and three RBIs. Ellison was three for four with one run scored, two stolen bases, and four RBIs.
