Don’t dwell on the past and let it keep you from enjoying the future. We all have done things in the past that we are sorry for and wish we could forget.

Satan will do almost anything to make us think that our life is completely messed up. He will try to make us think that God doesn’t love us and won’t forgive us.

Satan uses our memory of the past to condemn us and make us think we are terrible for the things we have done.

If we have truly turned to Jesus and asked Him to forgive us, then we are forgiven. When Jesus died on the cross, every sin we ever committed was placed on Him. He died to pay for our sins.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7.

We should never let the memories of the past control us. God’s Word says that He cast our sins as far as the east is to the west, to be remembered no more. God loves us so much that He doesn’t hold our past against us, He forgives and forgets it. God’s promises are true and He cannot lie.

Let’s dwell on the good things and think of how blessed we are to be forgiven.
