Newberry Observer

What does a Chamber membership do for you?

“What does Chamber membership do for me?” That is a great question, and one that we like to answer.

The Chamber of Commerce is often the first visit, phone call, or website search that a resident or visitor makes in an effort to find a particular service. By investing in your Chamber of Commerce, your information is in our hands to readily provide to those who inquire about it. “Well, what will that set me back?” It shouldn’t hurt at all. For a business with one to five employees, your investment is $10.83 per month. For a business with 50 employees, your investment is $18.75 per month. You would have to have 100 employees before your investment reaches even $1.00 per day, and you get access to so much more than referrals.

Is your business just opening, or have you expanded or remodeled? The Chamber provides complimentary Ribbon Cuttings, including coverage in The Newberry Observer. We provide the bright red ribbon and the large, cool scissors to go with it. Did you know that new members receive a complimentary ad in the Observer?

Don’t need the additional business? Investing in your Chamber supports your community and helps to better neighboring businesses. Our mission is to promote a positive business environment and to enhance the quality of life in Newberry County by supporting the state and county economic development efforts while meeting the needs of our communities and members.

We host and promote a number of business events and community activities with that mission in mind. Our networking events, educational workshops, and informative breakfasts are valuable tools provided for businesses and individuals in this ever-changing business world. Our information resources run deep, and we are able to tap into that information for your benefit. Bettering businesses only improves the economic development climate that affords a better quality of life for residents. Our Christmas Tour of Homes and Ag + Art Tour of Newberry County invite many visitors to our area, and our Pumpkin Painting Party and Santa’s Workshop and Mrs. Claus Story Time are wonderful holiday activities for the young and young-at-heart.

Our vision is to create a community where every citizen, individual and corporate, can reach their full potential and become a positive contributor to Newberry’s economic well-being and quality of life. Leadership Newberry County and the Newberry County Young Professionals are just two of our programs that provide resources and education to people looking to make a positive difference in their community.

Let us be your go-to resource for business, and let us know what we can offer to help you better your business. We welcome you to visit us on the first floor of Community Hall in downtown Newberry, located at 1209 Caldwell Street. You may also contact us at 803-276-4274 or chamber@newberrycounty.org.
