My wife and I have 13 adult children forty six to nineteen and thirty grandchildren with two on the way. One of my middle children shared a personal experience with one of my grandchildren about being direct in thoughts doing a journal.
Ok story time…When my kids bring up and ask me “who will I marry?” at the end of our conversations I ALWAYS encourage them to pray for their spouse no matter how young they are.
My 7 1/2 year old granddaughter is a little writer. (I wonder where she got that from?) She will sit with me, and reads her entry’s to me. Just (journaling) her thoughts writing loads of scripture, it’s actually quite amazing and beautiful.
I was reading through the notes the other day and it had this sweet little prayer for she wrote “Father I pray that you would help my future husband to love you more then he loves anyone and help him to serve you with everything in him.” It continued “Please help me to be able to be a good wife and to walk beside him “EVEN IF HE IS BALD!”
I can’t even…I am laughing, somebody help me up!? I was like “GIRL YOU KNOW HOW TO BE SPECIFIC, YOU AIN’T PLAYING AROUND!” I guess I never told her she couldn’t be specific, I mean, she has years to really pray for these details.
Well little man if you are out there, add a few drops of Rosemary to your shampoo if anything it should help..?
LOL, Well as grandpa, I am losing my hair, so I have to go get Rosemary’
