Jesus we have happiness and peace

A lot of people try to find happiness in the things they possess. It’s good that God blesses us to have material things, but we should never let them take the place of true happiness in the Lord.

King Solomon had wealth, power and a reputation for wisdom. He had gained every thing he had wanted, but he felt his life was empty and without meaning.

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.” Matthew 16:26.

We should never be deceived, things of this world will bring us happiness for a while, but lasting happiness and peace come from knowing Jesus Christ in a personal way. Christ should be first in our lives, He should be the center and foundation of everyday we live.

We should turn our mind and heart to Him and thank Him for the love He has for us.

“And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 2: 10-11.

Lasting happiness and peace come from knowing Jesus.
