The story of the Birth of Jesus

By Patsy Lambert - Contributing Columnist

The story of the Birth of Jesus, in the Bible, never grows old.

On a quite night, a young virgin named Mary laid her newborn in a manger that was in a stable, where the animals ate. God knew exactly what He was doing. The birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Saviour went unnoticed by most of the world that first Christmas night and still is going unnoticed by many today.

It was amazing that a star led the shepherds to Jesus. They came to worship Him for what He was doing.

“And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.” Luke 2:16

God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. Jesus was born to die. He brought salvation to everyone through His birth, death and resurrection. Today we can know the Christ of Christmas, who can solve our problems, lift our burdens, forgive our sins and make us new.

Mary accepted God’s will for her life. No matter what she had to go through. When we accept God’s will for our lives, we can have a joy and peace, not only at Christmas, but each day of our lives.

Accept God’s will for your life and have a Merry Christmas
