Last week, we took delivery of our 2015 Newberry County Chamber of Commerce Community Guide/Membership Directory. This year, we opted to produce our directory document in house, as opposed to sending out to other people who may not know the good people throughout Newberry County, and we are glad we did. This could well be our best directory ever. The ads are crisp and clear, the book itself is equally attractive, and the information is direct and to the point.

The primary function of any Chamber of Commerce is to help its member businesses be successful. The secondary function is to help promote the area in which the chamber is located. This year’s directory is a wonderful display of both. We all know that our advertising dollars are extremely important and not to be wasted. We also know that we want our advertising dollars to reach our local audience as well as those who might plan to visit Newberry County. That is why we place our directory in our members’ establishments throughout Newberry County.

However, we don’t just stop there. Our directories are conveniently placed in Welcome Centers at the entry points of our state so that when one is entering our state and stops to seek where to visit, your Newberry County Chamber publication is there. We also believe the general public will always pick up our directory due to the attractive front cover, and once inside, will be able to feel the heartbeat of our residents by reading about our historic past, present, and future generations, our industrial footprint, our recreation facilities, our shopping and dining opportunities as well as places to visit and stay.

So, in reality, your Chamber visitors guide has it all, and it will be viewed by thousands. Please stop by for a visit, and while you are here, pick up a copy of the cheapest form of advertising in our county. The value is on every page and should you realize your business is not in this year’s directory, you might want to consider becoming a Chamber member. In just a few months, as we prepare our 2016 guide, you might make a conscious effort to spend some of your advertising dollars to tell our audience about your business as well. Believe me, it could prove to be the best advertising you have ever done.

We would certainly appreciate and consider it an honor to meet you, so please stop by and allow either Liz, Michelle, or me to tell you the many benefits awaiting you through Chamber membership. Should you not be able to stop by, please call 276-4274. We anxiously await your call.
