When we are going through hard times and we talk to God about the situation, we know that He will help us. But it’s always good to have a friend to talk to.

A good friend will be a good listener. And when we know someone that is hurting, do we listen to them or do we give them unwanted advice? Or do we let them share their burden with us?

Sometimes the best thing we can do is listen when a friend has a problem. We listen and let them share their feelings with us.

We can let them know we care. We can let our friends know that we are praying for them. We can talk to them and let them know the best thing to do is to give the problem to God and He can work ways to bring good out of bad.

We should encourage others to put their trust in Jesus and let them know He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, He will be a good listener and He doesn’t go about telling others.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.” Ecclesiastes 3: 1, 7
