NEWBERRY — Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Newberry Electric Cooperative Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon.

Felicia Coleman of Newberry and Taiyah Bookman of Prosperity were this year’s recipients.

The scholarship is awarded annual to first year and second year students from Newberry County. The scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Coleman and Bookman are associate degree nursing students at the college.
