Stamp show
COLUMBIA —The Columbia Philatelic Society will hold its Winter Stamp & Postcard Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 16 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 17 at Spring Valley High School.
The show will feature professional stamp and postcard dealers offering a broad array of worldwide and U.S. items for sale. Stamp fanciers are invited to bring in their stamps/collections for evaluation.

Dance Theatre of Harlem
COLUMBIA — The University of South Carolina Department of Theatre and Dance will host the Dance Theatre of Harlem for a performance at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Koger Center.
Repertory for the performance includes a new work by pioneering dance artist Dianne McIntyre, as well as choreography from the company’s popular repertoire.
Tickets are available online at www.kogercenterforthearts.com or by calling the box office at 803-777-5112. Ticket prices are $20 for second balcony, $35 for the grand tier, and $40 for orchestra seating.
Special $75 tickets, which include orchestra seating and a post-concert reception with the artists, are available by calling the USC dance program office at 803-777-5636. The Koger Center for the Arts is located at 1051 Greene St.
Since its founding in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell, the first African-American to be a permanent member of a major U.S. ballet company, New York City Ballet, The Dance Theatre of Harlem has inspired audiences all over the world.
