NEWBERRY — Newberry Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 5:56 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12 in reference to an ISE trailer fire unhooked at the Almark Foods warehouse at 2063 Alexander Street in Newberry. Fire Chief Keith Minick said crews arrived on scene to a trailer fire used to transport eggs. The fire had consumed the roof of the trailer and extended to the loading dock roof structure of the facility.

There were no injuries, Minick said, only minor smoke damage to the building but fire damage to the loading dock roof area where the trailer was located. At the time of the report, no cause of the fire was known.
