Jr. Beta Club brings home awards

PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina Middle School Junior Beta Club recently competed against other middle schools across the state in Myrtle Beach January 16-18 and came home with nine state awards.

The following students received awards and will compete at the National Jr. Beta Club Convention in June in Oklahoma:

First place – Seventh grade Math – Jack Gantt

First place – 3-Dimensional Design – Ella Morales, Kendellin Haltiwanger, Rachel Redd, Hannah Hamilton and Hannah Perkins

Second place – Sculpture – Isabella Ferreira

Second place – Digital Photography – Emma Jacobs

Third place – Speech – Lyle Fulmer

Third place – Quiz Bowl – Katy Mae Crooks, Justin Smith, Madelyn Coker and Jack Gantt

Fourth place – Seventh grade Science – Gage Gilliam

Fifth place – Engineering – Ethan Lindler, Tyler Shell, Gage Gilliam, Jake Fulmer, Brady Davenport (alternates: Murray Johnson and Will Barnes)

Fifth place- Campaign Skit- Matthew Moyd, Isabella Ferreira, Jennifer Shealy, Logan Stafford, Katy Mae Crooks, Nolan Palmore, Mia Russo, Alana Shealy, Michael Lindler, Bryn Thurman, Campbell Nolting, Emma Jacobs, Brennen Banks, Ethan Templin, Emily Haltiwanger, Kayden Beverly, Riley Peel and Braeden Connelly.
