Council OKs airport renovation bid

NEWBERRY COUNTY — Newberry County Council, in a 5-2 decision, approved a bid from Solid Structures in the amount of $518,323.06 for renovations and expansion for the airport. The county will only fund five to 10 percent of this project, with the Federal Aviation Administration funding 90 percent.
