Psychology Program hosts Mental Health First Aid USA Training

The Psychology Program in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Newberry College hosted a Mental Health First Aid USA Training on March 20 and 22. Twenty one Newberry College psychology, nursing, criminal justice and sociology students, along with resident life staff successfully completed a Mental Health First Aid USA training. This certification process trained the newly certified mental health first aiders to offer help to persons developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis until appropriate treatment and support are received or until the crisis resolves. - Courtesy photo
