NEWBERRY — Books on Main will host a book signing on Friday, May 11 for Gloria Mangum Glasgow, author of the book To Blossom out from Hiding. Glasgow is a Newberry resident, and was born and raised in South Carolina. This is her first book.
According to the official information about the book, To Blossom out from Hiding – Especially for Woman – is a personal testimony and one which inspires, encourages and incites to live life in fullness, rising above certain imposed expectations and traditions which may stifle personal growth and development.
The book addresses, examines certain truths which have been discounted and ignored, and brings those truths front and center, guiding to explore feelings and opinions which have remained undisclosed and unspoken; truths particularly regarding the life of women.
The signing will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Books on Main, 1209 Main Street, Newberry.
