Black Hawk lands in Newberry

NEWBERRY — Last week college presidents, Maurice Scherrens (Newberry College), Bob Staton (Presbyterian College) and Richard Cosentino (Lander University) and Congressmen Jeff Duncan and Ralph Norman took part in an exercise designed to develop and train cadets on air assault techniques, safety, emergency exits and other flight lessons.

During the training, which involved cadets from each campus, two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters landed at Newberry College to drop off and pick up the presidents and congressmen.
