Students from Piedmont Technical College’s Diversified Agriculture Program visited the South Carolina State House in Columbia on Feb. 21, to participate in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) State Legislators Appreciation Day. The students visited with Rep. Cal Forrest (R-Saluda) and Sen. Floyd Nicholson (D-Greenwood). They also wrote letters and met some representatives from their home counties. The students came from agriculture economics and agriculture marketing classes and the Collegiate FFA program at Piedmont Tech. In total, more than 1,000 FFA members, advisors and guests from across the state participated in the daylong program.
