LITTLE MOUNTAIN — On March 1, Scott Garrick, a representative from the SCEA (South Carolina Education Association) presented several Little Mountain Elementary students with a Finalist Certificate for participating in the SCEA Read Across America Poster Contest, “From the Mountains to the Sea, Read with Me!”

Three students earned special recognition: Gracen Shealy, third grade-Honorable Mention, Whitney Shannon, third grade- People’s Choice and Emory Pye, fifth grade-First Place in the Division II Category (third-fifth grade) for the state of South Carolina.

These three students were awarded with Award Certificates as well as a monetary prize.
