LITTLE MOUNTAIN — The Newberry County School District of Instruction and the Newberry County Reading Council recognized students for their published works in the District Writing Anthology. Teachers from across the district selected notable writing from their classes to be honored at Newberry Elementary. Students received an award certificate and a collection of all pieces in a Writing Anthology.

Little Mountain Elementary recognized ten students from grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Examples of student writing modeled Narrative and Informational pieces that each child composed in their class. Selected topics varied from How to Play Baseball, Dogs, Surgery and Rabbit Hunting to memorable moments such as special holiday gatherings.
