PROSPERITY — On Feb. 8 at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers with the Prosperity Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that Randall Sims, 24, was driving at U.S. 76 and Elm Street.

According to Chief David Beddingfield, Sims refused to stop for blue lights and fled to 162 Forest hills Boulevard. There, Sims abandoned his vehicle and began to flee on foot. After a foot pursuit, officers were able to take Sims into custody.
