NEWBERRY — On Dec. 29, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery incident involving a pizza delivery driver on Whitener Road.

According to the report, the victim said after delivering the pizza she went back to her vehicle and noticed that it would not shut. Then a pistol was held to her head and an unidentified individual said, ‘Give me all of the money now or I’ll blow your head off.’

The victim surrendered the money, approximately $150, to the subject who was said to be wearing a black hoodie and jeans with a red bandana over his face. This subject was about 5’9 to 5’11, slender build.

Another subject, in a gray hoodie with his face covered, patted the victim down to make sure she wasn’t holding any money from them.

The victim stated that the subjects were concealed well, but sounded as if they were white.

A third subject stayed far off, with the victim unable to get a good description. A witness claimed to have previously seen subjects walking down the road in similar clothing and possibly stayed down Cypress Lakes.

Other county units set up perimeter and the K-9 Units responded to track the subjects who left by foot. A gray stocking cap, Doritos bag, a gray plaid hoodie and a black and white patterned shirt were recovered.
