NEWBERRY — Newberry County Memorial Hospital continues to strive for excellence in areas of quality, safety and patient experience, as shown in Chief Executive Officer Bruce Baldwin’s report to the Board of Trustees.

In June, the Emergency Department’s LWOT (Left without Treatment) showed a slight increase to 2.5 percent (43 patients) with volumes totaling at 1,729 visits, a trend that is moving in the right direction. Turnaround times continued to increase in June due to the turnover of the ED contract with Team Health.

The report shows that NCMH continues to show a strong performance in inpatient and outpatient core measures. The newest I/P core measure (Sepsis) has shown improvement and is at 53 percent for the quarter.

The Foundation will be holding their Golf Tournament which is scheduled for Oct. 19, 2017 at the Country Club of Newberry. Registration begins at noon with a shot-gun start at 1 p.m. Tickets are available for non-golfers. Tickets are $25 each with funds raised supporting projects at NCMH.

NCMH’s website is now live and has received positive comments. The community is encouraged to check it out at www.newberryhospital.org.
