NEWBERRY — The Clinton-Laurens-Newberry Tennis Association held its sixth annual Mac Harrison Memorial Round-Robin Doubles Tournament on May 27 at Newberry High School. Twelve participants competed in the event. The results were:

Women’s Division

First place: Harriet Counts of Prosperity

Second place: Mary Jenkins of Carlisle

Third place: Natalie Schnackenburg of Newberry

Men’s Division

First place: Ray Phillips of Clinton

Second place: Hugh Lister of Newberry

Third place: Jurgen Schnackenburg of Newberry

Participants contributed $287 with more pledged by those who couldn’t attend. All proceeds go toward CLNTA’s two week-long summer youth tennis camps, one in July in Clinton and one in early August in Newberry.

The CLNTA’s next round-robin tournament will be the annual Mixed Doubles Tournament from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 26 at Laurens City Park.
