LITTLE MOUNTAIN — Several students at Little Mountain Elementary School are participating in the Big Buddy Leader Program during the 2016-2017 school year.

The program involves fifth graders serving as mentors to kindergarteners, first graders and second graders.

The Big Buddy Leaders are chosen from an application process and are required to attend training sessions by school counselor Sherry Swindler.

Students work in a supervised setting one day per week in various academic areas. The program has been in existence for 19 years.
