LITTLE MOUNTAIN — The Mid-Carolina Athletics Department held their inaugural barbecue competition this weekend to help support athletics.

“I don’t know exactly how much we raised, but it was a big success, I feel like we will hit our goal of what we wanted to raise,” said Mid-Carolina High School Athletic Director Chris Arnoult. “Little over 300 people that came down there, and with all things considered with the weather, we had a pretty good turn out.”

Arnoult said they are going to continue to improve the event and make it bigger and better.

“Thanks to the support from this event, the team and all of athletics can make some improvements to the facilities, upgrade some equipment and make it a better experience for all the athletes,” he said.
