Kaylyn Marie Wicker and John Westley Hurst, both of Florence, were married Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Hidden Acres in Marion. The 6 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Terry Amick. A reception followed at Hidden Acres.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Beth Wicker, both of Newberry. The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father, Wayne and Beth Wicker.

The bride is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is currently employed as a teacher at Wallace-Gregg Elementary School.

The groom is the son of John and Christine Hurst, both of Florence.

The groom is a graduate of Francis Marion University. He is currently employed as a lineman at Duke Energy in Marion.

Mrs. Kelly Morris Homesley served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Samantha Brewer Curtis, Miss Amanda Jean Bush, Mrs. Ashley Robertson Parr, Mrs. Jamie Peters Whitford, Miss Vanessa Eliane Pacifico, Mrs. Kayla Rae Woods, Miss Laura Frances Hurst, Mrs. Kelly Jeffcoat Dishong and Miss Morgan Lauren McElveen.

Mr. John Walters Hurst served as the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. James Anthony Smith, Mr. Bradley Cole Poulas, Mr. Joshua Lee Haithcock, Mr. Layton Wayne Wicker, Mr. John Thomas Taylor and Mr. Jonathan Paul Jeffcoat.

Miss Bradlie Kay Poulas and Miss Emma Lynn Haithcock were flower girls. Mr. James Miller Smith and Mr. Garrett Hayden Colby were the ring bearers.

The wedding director was Ms. Amy Frick. The program attendant/guest registrar were Miss Carlie Lance Kneece and Miss Sophia Sarah Colby.

After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Florence.
