NEWBERRY — Piedmont Technical College (PTC) recently held a Scholarship Luncheon to recognize student recipients of dozens of PTC Foundation scholarships for 2019. This year’s winner of the RMBE Lipford Endowed Scholarship is Nicole Marchant of Newberry.
Elnita Lipford Williams, maternal granddaughter of Rogers and Rev. Mary A. Lipford and the daughter of Barbara Jean Lipford, in their memory, created the RMBE Lipford Endowed Scholarship (pronounced “Rimbee”). This scholarship is available to a student demonstrating leadership ability and is based on financial need and academic achievement.
