Grow Newberry Farmers Market takes place every Saturday in June and July from 9-11:30 a.m. Join us in Memorial Park in downtown Newberry to meet local farmers and artisans and purchase fresh produce, meats, soaps, jewelry and more!

The Junior Leadership Newberry County class met for the final time on May 3. The group toured the City of Newberry’s water treatment plant and received instruction on social and improvisation skills from Mandy Butler, assistant professor of Theatre, at Newberry College.
Chamber Executive Director Michelle Long is a member of the Newberry County Coalition on Underage Drinking and enjoyed volunteering at the Annual Tom Perry’s Better Together Basketball Tournament on May 18.
We provided information on the Grow Newberry Farmers Market and the Ag+Art Tour of Newberry County to attendees of the City of Newberry’s Taste of Newberry event on May 17.
The Ag+Art Tour of Newberry County was held the weekend of June 1 and 2. Eight farms and five ancillary sites were featured for this year’s tour.
Joshua Kerr of Kerr Chainsaw Carving was one of the featured artists on this year’s Ag+Art Tour of Newberry County.

To kick off the Ag+Art Tour of Newberry County, we hosted a Farm to Table Dinner on May 23. Eighty participants were treated to locally produced meats, vegetables, bread and dessert prepared by local chefs. We thank Dave and Debbie Waldrop for the use of their farm as the perfect setting for this event.
