NEWBERRY — Ilene Stewart Partridge, 67, of Newberry died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.

Born on Jan. 7, 1946, in Lillington, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Bradford and Doris Newell Stewart.

Ilene was a graduate of Peace College and Atlantic Christian University. She was a member of Aveleigh Presbyterian Church. Additionally she was a member of the Newberry Cotillion Club, Phi Mu Sorority, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, past president of the Newberry Garden Club, and had served on the Newberry County Voter Registration Board for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband, W. Frank Partridge of Newberry; daughter, Allison Partridge Beckham of Greenwood; son, W. F. “Troup” Partridge III of Newberry; grandchildren, Nancy Stewart “Nan” Partridge, Bluford Griffin “Blu” Beckham and Ladson Partridge Beckham; and brother, Ray B. Stewart of Clermont Harbor, Miss.

Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Mitchell Van Metre.
