PROSPERITY — Patricia “Pat” Swank, 74, a long time resident of Margate, Fla. and now a recent resident of Prosperity, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Dec. 5, 2012, at home with her family. Pat battled with cancer for several years and defied all odds as she was only given four months to live in February 2011. She was a loved and active member of her community and church in both Margate, Fla. and Prosperity and will be missed deeply by her friends and family.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents and her eldest son, Russell Buddie. She is survived by her husband, Dean Swank and her children, Tom Buddie, wife, Gina Buddie, James Buddie, wife, Lana Buddie, Sue Ann Fullman, husband Sean Fullman, and Karen Mayes, husband, Willie Mayes as well several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation and a memorial on Saturday Dec. 22, 2012, starting at 4 p.m. at Wightman United Methodist Church which is located at 302 Main St. in Prosperity.
