MULLINS — Judy Kay Hinson Stroud, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence with her family by her side. She was born in Whiteville, N.C., a daughter of the late Slade Hinson and Mildred Buffkin Hinson.

Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death in addition to her father, by her husband, Robert Stroud Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Buffkin Hinson of Whiteville, N.C.; a son, Robert D. Stroud and his wife, Page of Newberry; a daughter, Ruby S. Dorroh and her husband, Henry of Silverstreet; a sister, Peggy Duncan and her husband, Ervin of Whiteville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Scotty Hooks and his wife, Nicole and Coty Pittman, one great-grandchild, Jayden Hooks, and her beloved canine, Kujo.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Devotion Gardens in Mullins directed by Meares Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
