Greenwood — Lou Amye Earlean Coleman Odom, 66, of 255 Wisewood Circle, wife of Stephen Odom Jr., died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at her home. Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Cato Coleman and the late Wilhelmenia Scott Coleman. She was a retired librarian with Greenwood School District 50. She was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Ministries, Food Ministries, was a Sunday school teacher, and AWANA teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Wisewood Neighborhood Association. She was also a member of the South Carolina State University Alumni Chapter, the Upper Savannah Council on Aging and the AARP.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of the home; one daughter, Charlene (Gregory) Calhoun of Greenwood; one brother, Cato E. (Marcia) Coleman Jr. of Crooksville, Ohio; three grandchildren, A’lexus, August and Ace; nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Willie S. Harrison. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
