NEWBERRY — Dorothy Nichols Mitchell Counts, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at White Oak Manor.
Born on April 4, 1922, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Newton Arthur and Martha Sease Nichols. She was retired from Collins and Aikman Hosiery Plant, and was a member of Epting United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Erin Wood Sunday school class.
Mrs. Counts is survived by sons, Wayne L. (Cathy) Mitchell of Newberry and Jerry Newton (Bobbie Sue) Mitchell of Chappells; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Counts was twice married first to the late Ralph Lester Mitchell and secondly to the late Julian Lanier Counts.
She was predeceased by her special friend, Hubert Graham and was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Epting United Methodist Church by the Rev. Fred Buchanan. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6–8 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be B.J. Mitchell, Jacy Mitchell, Joel Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Chris Mitchell and Dustin Floyd.
