Emmit Sherran bought a home from the delinquent tax sale in Whitmire and discovered boxes of old scrapbooks that a former ladies club in Whitmire collected. The book contains history from the town as well as travels from the ladies who worked at the former JP Stevens. Sherrans and Whitmire resident Wendy Cranford brought the scrapbooks to the Whitmire senior center for people to peruse at their leisure.
