NEWBERRY — Mr. David Henderson, 63, died Monday, March 11, 2013, in the Hospice of Laurens County. Born in Newberry County on May 18, 1949, he was a son of the late Mr. John Welsey Henderson and the late Mrs. Willie Mae Smith Henderson. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Newberry.

He is survived by two sons, David A. Henderson Wheeler (April) of Snellville, Ga., Ricardo Henderson of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Nancy Gilmore (Eric) of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Yegennia H. Kelly (Richard), Ms. Lila Henderson of Newberry; one brother, Willie H. Henderson of Columbia; seven grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces; one great niece; one aunt; two uncles; two brothers-in-law and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the home of his sister, Mrs. Yegennia H. Kelly, 726 Gray St., Newberry. The family requests that family and friends visit after 2 p.m.
