PROSPERITY — Mr. Walter Hawkins, 55, of 126 Richburg Lane, Prosperity, died in Prosperity. Born in New York, N.Y., he was the son of Lena Mae Hawkins Richburg and the late Mr. Walter Richburg.

He was formerly employed by D & B Electrical and Framing Co.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lena M. Hawkins Richburg of Prosperity; three daughters, Waltaya Richardo (Pedro) of Bronx, N.Y., Lequan Coe of New York, N.Y. and Lameeka Felix of Batesburg-Leesville; five grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Richburg Jr. of California, Darryl Richburg and Troy Richburg (Sharon) all of Prosperity; six sisters, Maggie Beech of Pinewood, Nancy Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., Francine Richburg-Campbell (John) of Newberry, Jo Anne Richburg of Snellville, Ga., Laura Richburg of New York, N.Y. and Lisa Richburg of Prosperity; four uncles; three aunts; two great-aunts, a devoted friend of the family, Wayne Bodie and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Hawkins will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Mount Moriah A.M.E. Church in Prosperity.
