We should be serious about spending time with God. We know that he lives in the hearts of all believers and he’s with us wherever we go, but we need a special time we set aside for devotions. We need time with God.
We need time to clear our thoughts and mind and focus on the things of God.
We seem to find time to do other things. It’s so important to spend time in prayer and read God’s word.
When we spend time with God, we get rooted in the knowledge of his word and it will give us strength to stand when troubles come our way.
“My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.” Psalm 104:34
“I will remember the days of old: I mediate on all they words; I muse on the work of thy hands.” Psalm 143:5
The precious word of God will guide us and lead us.
God tells us to hide his word in our heart that we may not sin against him.
A devotional life is our personal time alone with God and that time is so important.
