NEWBERRY — The Peking Acrobats features an evening of outstanding feats of agility, balance, coordination and showmanship. They push the envelope of human possibility with pure artistry. This show is at 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Newberry Opera House.

Twenty-six members of the acrobatic troupe, with live accompaniment from an exotic Chinese orchestra, will transform 2,000-year-old traditions of manual dexterity and grace into a modern-day kaleidoscope of entertainment and wonder.

The physical feats of The Peking Acrobats seem almost surreal, defying laws of body mechanics and physics. All members of this group are amazing athletes with grace and charisma in addition to their razor-sharp precision.

They are everything entertainment should be, uplifting, awe-inspiring and an exploration of the full extent of human potential. With the greatest of ease, the graceful efforts of these brightly costumed tumblers, acrobats, cyclists, jugglers and clever clowns provide 90 minutes of family fun that infuses winter in Newberry with an extra measure of warmth and joy.

The Peking Acrobats regularly pass from the seemingly impossible to the virtually unbelievable! Don’t miss this entertaining and instructive survey of Asian circus arts. Tickets are available at the Newberry Opera House box office. Children half price.
