CLINTON — Ellis C. Huffstetler, 89, of 231 Lakewood Drive, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Newberry and was a son of the late Charles S. and Mary Amick Huffstetler.

He retired from Torrington Bearing company; was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. In his early years he played Textile League baseball.

Surviving are one grandchild, Anna Latiff (Sam), of Citrus Springs, Florida and two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Ben Latiff. He was also survived by five nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary and his daughter, Cassandra (Sandy) Morgan; six sisters, and one brother.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens by Rev. David Edenfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1009 S. Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325.
