NEWBERRY – The 2013 Grand Jury was picked last week at the start of the new General Sessions Court term. Juror members will serve for a year and will determine which cases have merit to go to court. Circuit Judge Eugene Griffith presided.
Those entering guilty pleas and their sentences were:
• James Adam Lovette, 25, 1107 Keroes Ave., Newberry, cruelty to children, seven days in jail.
• Carrton Mastray Suber, 33, 2425 Holloway St., Newberry, filing a false police report, time served.
• Michael Shannon White, 42, 83 Adam Teseniar Road, Newberry, manufacturing methamphetamine, seven years in prison, suspended to 90 days in jail with credit for time served, 48 months probation.
• Antonio Bernard Baker, 40, 132 Worthy Road, Whitmire, conspiracy, time served.
• Johnathanray Harold Browning, 21, 209 Clark St., Whitmire, second-degree burglary, robbery, receiving stolen goods and conspiracy, term not to exceed five years under the Youthful Offender Act on each charge.
• Shawn Curtis Epps, 32, 133 Calhoun St., Whitmire, distribution of crack cocaine, time served.
• John Allen Nielsen II, 32, 195 Wikerson Road, Whitmire, distribution of a controlled substance, 36 months in prison, suspended to 38 days in jail, 30 months probation.
• Christopher Jarques Counts, 23, 625 Wright St., Newberry, carrying a pistol unlawfully, six months in prison, suspended to credit for time served since March 13.
• Willie Destry Harris, 36, 1159 Pettus Lane, Newberry, second offense criminal domestic violence, one year in prison, suspended to 29 months probation and credit for time served.
• Travis Jequez Werts, 20, 164 Forest Hills Blvd., Prosperity, possession of a stolen pistol, term not to exceed three years under the Youthful Offender Act.
• Undrea Terry Koon, 41, 2336 Adelaide St., Newberry, second offense failure to register as a sex offender, 12 months in prison, suspended to credit for time served in jail of 97 days.
• Rebecca Mitchell, 29, Orangeburg, three counts of forgery, 24 months in prison, suspended to 96 days of time served in jail, 48 months probation, pay $1,114 in restitution.
• William Arnold Clark, 72, 727 Gray St., Newberry, possession of cocaine, 90 days in jail.
• James McKinney Boyce, 33, 5165 Highway 56, Chappells, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with the serial number removed, 18 months in prison.
• Pemedrias Leetrell Kirkland, 27, 802 Bundrick Road, Pomaria, two counts of forgery, 18 months in prison, suspended to 60 days in jail with credit for time served, $923.34 in restitution, 24 months probation.
• Marcus Tobe, 39, 967 S.C. 34, Newberry, malicious injury to property, time served.
• Henry Todd Abrams, 49 2423 Eleanor St., Newberry, second degree criminal domestic violence, 90 days in prison, $2,500 fine, suspended to 89 days in jail and $1,100 fine.
• Antonio Bernard Griffin, 42, 1935 Drayton St., Newberry, distribution of crack cocaine, 10 years, suspended to 41 days of time served, 60 months probation.
• Tracy Hutcherson, 48, 419 Glenn St., Newberry, second degree criminal domestic violence, one year in prison, $2,500 fine of $2,500, suspended to 33 days of time served, $1,100 fine, 24 months probation.
• Pablo Plazo, 36, 12203 S.C. 176, Pomaria, first degree assault and battery, 10 years in prison, suspended to 126 days in prison, 60 months probation, register as a sex offender.
• Bobbie Jo Bradshaw Slaton, 40, 37 Orchard Park Trail, Newberry, manufacturing methamphetamine, four years in prison, suspended to 39 days with credit for time served, 36 months probation.
• Charles Edward Dantzler, 30 Greenville, second offense driving under the influence, one year in prison, $1,200 fine, suspended to 20 days, $1,100 fine, 48 months probation.
• Shawn Franklin Kinard, 35, 373 Cannon Road, Waterloo, strong arm robbery, five years in prison, suspended to 101 days in jail, 30 months probation.
