Lady Rebels get two wins in basketball

PROSPERITY — The Lady Rebels got two wins on the basketball court last week against Batesburg-Leesville and Richard Winn Academy.

The Mid -Carolina girls got a 69-42 win Friday against Batesburg-Leesville Friday night.

The Lady Rebels shot the ball extremely well making seven three pointers, according to Mid-Carolina coach Gary Wilbanks.

The Rebels were led by Julie Kinard who scored 20 points.

Carli Ruff scored 14 points and dished out a career high 15 assists.

Alix Green continued her strong play, scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

Jalesa Ruff scored eight points, Janezhia Boyd added six points, Taylor Boozer, Shanice Boyd and Kelsey Bailey chipped in with two points apiece.

The Lady Rebels improve to 6-4 overall and 3-0 in region play.

Rebels defeat Richard Winn

The Prosperity team defeated Richard Winn by 52-37 on Thursday.

Kinard lead all scorers with 23 points.

Carli Ruff recorded her second triple double of the season with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Green scored nine points, Whitney McConnell made three points and Mary Katherine Moore, Jalesa Ruff, and Janezhia Boyd all scored two points a piece.
