POMARIA — Mrs. Annie Laura Suber Sims, 91, of 8357 Broad River Road, Pomaria, died Monday at Jessie Frank Hawkins Nursing Home. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. Bunyan Suber and the late Mrs. Fannie Blair Suber Williams. She was a member of Saint Mark A.M.E. Church in Pomaria and was a member of the senior choir and missionary society. She was a member of Women’s Home Aid Society Lodge No. 5.

Those who celebrate her life and cherish loving and precious memories include sons, Willie Albert Sims of Knoxville, Tenn., James Sims of the home and Paul Sims of Pomaria; daughters, Mrs. Eva Pearl Curry (John) of Pomaria, Mrs. Mary Ann Johnson (Reginald) of Irmo; brother, James Suber (Thomasina) of Newberry; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, including Mary Love of Detroit, Mich., who was reared as a sister, loving cousins and friends, all of whom grieve her departure but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.

Funeral service and burial will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Saint Mark A.M.E. Church in Pomaria. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
