NEWBERRY — Sallie Elease Palmer Rinehart, 88, widow of Lewie W. Rinehart, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at White Oak Manor.

Born on March 1, 1924, in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late David Shelton and Farrah Ellen Minor Palmer. She was retired from Old School Manufacturing and was a member of Epting Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rinehart is survived by her son, Douglas Dale (Sandra Brinkley) Rinehart of Marion, N.C.; a sister, Eleanor Metts of Saluda; a brother, David Palmer of Saluda and a granddaughter, Audrey Hope Rinehart.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Fred Buchanan. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Sunday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
