NEWBERRY — Lines have formed this morning as a large crowd of votes have headed to the polls.

Just before noon lines to vote in Prosperity were about 45 minutes long.

Just after 8:30 a.m. over 100 people had voted in Silverstreet where the wait in line was about 15 minutes.

In Pomaria there were also lines around 8:30 a.m.

The turn out for the election is expected to be heavy throughout the day.

Voters will be casting ballots on positions from president to the town councils. Also county voters will be voting to pass a referendum for Sunday alcohol sales.
