Two drivers were airlifted after a wreck on Highway 219 near St. Phillips yesterday just after 5 p.m. Gertice Rister, 75, of Chapin was traveling north when she reportedly turned in front of a log truck being driven by Robert Hendrix, 49, of Newberry. The two vehicles collided head on before the log truck went off the road, overturned and hit a mobile home. The overturning truck and the logs also hit a pickup parked at the home. Two people inside the mobile home were not injured in the wreck. — Staff photo by Cindy Pitts
