Four Newberry teens have been charged in connection with trying to rob a walker on Sunday night.

Just after 10 p.m. Sunday night, reports say, a person walking on Harper Street in Newberry had a car pull alongside them and four men pulled a long-barreled gun out and demanded money.

The robbers were not able to get any valuables, but the walker noted the description of the car and the car’s license plate.

Newberry police located the car, suspects and weapon a short time later.

Akeem Sharod Bouknight, 19, of Hardeman Street; Keaton Dominique Padgett, 17, of Nance Street; Jeremy Lamont Henderson, 17, of Wright Street; and Desmond Jamal Coleman, 17, of Caldwell Street, were all arrested and charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
