Kwamane Keenan Lemire, 19, and Odell Saddler, 53, both of 3423 Chick Drive, Newberry, were charged by Newberry police with assault and battery with intent to kill.
The two men are accused of beating a 45-year-old man with the implements during a fight at Grant Homes.
The victim received medical treatment for his injuries.
Newberry Police Lt. Kevin Atkins says the actions that led up to the altercation are not known.
