Just because Thanksgiving is over, let’s not forget what we are so thankful for: family, friends, a warm place to sleep, plenty of food and refreshments, clothing to keep us warm or cool and love. These also apply to our furry friends and especially those at our local Animal Shelter. They too are thankful when someone adopts them (family) and gives them a new home (a warm place to sleep), with plenty of food and water and that special care that all of our furry friends need. So, please do not forget them, especially around the holidays.
The shelter is always in dire need of bleach, blankets, dog and cat food, cat litter, and carriers. Please join the members of the Newberry County Humane Society in a holiday celebration at the Animal Shelter, Hwy 34, Newberry, on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 2-4 p.m. and bring lots of presents for our special furry friends.
If you would like to contact us, please e-mail: NCHS29108@dishmail.net
We meet the second Monday of the month at St. Luke’s Parish House, Main Street, Newberry at 7 p.m., starting back in January. Thank you and Happy Holidays.

President of the Newberry County Humane Society
