“It has gone very, very well,” Bozard said. “We kind of got an assembly line going.”
About 30-50 percent of the district’s school population wanted the free voluntary shot, as well as eligible teachers, said Bozard yesterday.
It takes several nurses about a day per elementary school, said Bozard, with upwards of 219 shots per school.
“The students are very well-behaved,” said Bozard.
Elementary students in Whitmire Community School were vaccinated yesterday, and Little Mountain Elementary students receive vaccinations today.
The H1N1 shot team heads to Reuben Elementary Monday.
